Sentencing for Threatening Advocate of Democracy in China

A Berklee College of Music student, a citizen of China, was convicted of stalking and threatening a pro-democracy activist. Xiaolei Wu, 26, was convicted of cyberstalking and transmitting threatening messages, and is set to be sentenced in April 2024. The charges stem from Wu’s communications with the victim, including threats and attempts to solicit others to harm the victim. The FBI affidavit details the threatening messages posted by Wu.
